Practitioner

Rachael Elrod, M.S.O.M., L.Ac., Dipl. OM.

I am a Colorado board certified acupuncturist. I received my degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College where I completed over 3000 hours of comprehensive clinical and theoretical training. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of New Mexico.

My training is in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This is the theory I rely on for diagnosis and herbal prescriptions. In addition I have trained and use Japanese style acupuncture techniques. Japanese needling techniques are gentle yet very effective.

Some of my special interests include anxiety, depression, menstrual disorders, and chronic pain. I incorporate a variety of techniques that suit both the patients needs and lifestyle.

WHy I choose to practice oriental medicine

I suffered from anxiety and depression for many years. I was frustrated with the side effects of many failed attempts by western medicine to alleviate my symptoms. Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, I came down with cluster headaches. With the help of Oriental medicine I now live a balanced life with no pain, no medication, no depression, no anxiety, and no headaches.

I was amazed with the effects and grateful to have my life back. That is why I dedicated my life to learning this practice and bringing this amazing and natural medicine to you.
