More than 19 million teens and adults in the United States are living with depression.
At Moonlight Garden Acupuncture, I understand the struggle with depression and I treat each patient with the utmost respect and compassion. In Chinese medicine we treat depression as a imbalance somewhere in the body, and our job is to locate the imbalance and balance it. We are not talk therapist, and we will not need to discuss your depression in this way. Although we do advice working with a therapist simultaneously in order to achieve the best results. I will work together with the patient using Oriental medicine to balance the body. Then we discuss what recurring factors that may be holding you back in a depressed state. These factors may include things you can do such as diet, exercise, communication, expression, and self-love. It may include things we do that we can stop such as self-doubt, negative thinking, bad diet, addictions, social disconnecting, etc.
