Needle Free Acupuncture

Needle Free Acupuncture! What is that?

There are many tools used by a practitioner of Oriental Medicine, and needles are only one of those tools. Acupuncture needles are very small, and are designed to glide in through the pores of the skin. Needles that most people are used to are hypodermic needles, they are designed to pierce a tiny section of skin off in order to extract or insert fluid. Although most people barely notice the insertion of an acupuncture needle, some may still prefer to get a treatment without the use of needles.

Shonishin, Qi Gong (Chi Kung), Moxabustion, Gua Sha, Tui Na massage, Chinese Herbs, and diet are some of the ways we can do a treatment with no needles.

Shonishin is the most used approach to a needle free treatment. In Shonishin we use the properties of minerals, usually silver and gold, but often jade or other stones. These tools are used to stimulate the acupuncture points, and promote free flow of the meridians.
